Today's recipe has a special place in my heart. It is the juiciest, most flavorful burger I have ever had. Hands down, this is my favorite recipe. While I love making BBQ Bacon-Jack Stuffed Burger, it just doesn't compare to this unbelievable butter burger.
There were two things I craved both times when I was pregnant, homemade mac and cheeseand burgers. Of course, this was usually in the middle of the night. Mr. Juggling Act started asking me, "What can I get you that wealreadyhave?"
It's said that butter burgers were most likely first made in Wisconsin where they were often topped with cheese curds. In fact, you might be familiar with Culver's ButterBurger, but I like my homemade butter burger recipe better! (Say that five times fast!!)
Now I always haveCowboy Butterin the freezer along with ground beef! (I stock up on good cheeses when they're on sale, too.) I amalwaysprepared to make a really good meal. Trust me, using compound butter will as so much extra flavor to your burger patty. It's essential for the perfect burger, in my humble opinion!
What is in a butter burger?
If you guessed butter, you'd be right. In fact, Cowboy Butter is my SECRET Ingredient! This is going to take these burgers right over the top. You probably know I love to put Cowboy Butter on everything fromwingstowhole roasted chicken. My favorite might be on grilled steak. Oh. My. Gosh. There's just so much flavor in this stuff and it's so simple to make.
The burger is cooked in butter, the rolls are buttered, and the caramelized onions are - you guessed it - cooked in butter. These little tricks make the juiciest burger you've ever tried!
Ingredients

To make these burgers, you'll need at least one large skillet. I like to use one non-stick skillet and also a large cast-iron skillet.
I absolutely love my burger presswhich helps make evenly-sized burgers. You can make this recipe without it, of course, but it is definitely super helpful.
