CHRISTIAN ASSISTANCE MINISTRY (CAM)-KERR COUNTY
To provide, through a cooperative effort among Kerr County churches, food, clothing, new prescriptions, & help with utility bills (every 3 months up to $100, but not if disconnected). CAM works closely with other community agencies and government assistance programs to help clients locate the best resources to help them. Food assistance is given every 2 weeks. CAM has added a Commodity Supplement Food Program for persons 60 years old and older. No assistance for telephone bills, rent, doctor or hospital bills.

CHILDREN’S WEEKEND FOOD PROGRAM
To provide children of low-income families with food for the weekend. The program is available at Nimitz, Starkey, and Tom Daniels. Contact school nurse to sign up.

CHRISTUS Children's WIC (Women, Infants & Children)
To provide qualifying pregnant and postpartum women, infants and children with food assistance, nutritional education and breastfeeding support.

Eligibility:To qualify for WIC, the application must meet categorical, residential, income and nutrition risk; if an applicant receives Medicaid or SNAP, they automatically qualify for WIC; must be pregnant or postpartum mother, infant or a child up to the age of 5.

DOYLE SCHOOL COMMUNITY CENTER
To provide free transportation services, counseling for mental health, health care navigation to connect citizens with health care solutions, and nutrition-centered events to support in distribution of weekly Food Pantry. GLORY COMMUNITY GARDEN
To assist in food security by providing garden plots. Raised beds are available to rent annually. Applications are taken each December for the following year. Gardeners have access to tools, seeds, fertilizers, and water. Hill Country Master Gardeners are available for guidance. Five public events are sponsored each year, as well as hosting local school field trips.

To provide drive-through food distribution from the San Antonio Food Bank. Those without transportation may send a friend so long as they have your information & signature. Eligibility criteria will need to be provided at registration. Come early while food lasts.
Eligibility: Registration takes place at the market. Eligible households include SNAP, TANF,SSI, NSLP, Medicaid or other food needs.

SAN ANTONIO FOOD BANK
To fight hunger in Southwest Texas through Food for Today—immediatefood assistance, Hope/CSFP programs providing monthly food boxes for seniors, and Amazon delivery—sign up for food delivery service. Federal benefit assistance helps clients apply for Medicaid, WIC, TANF, Healthy Texas Women, SNAP, and food stamps. A referral partner program is provided to assist in acquiring outside needs—clothing, hygiene, medical equipment, diapers, pads, & prenatal needs. The SAFB partners with more than 500 client service agencies to help feed the hungry throughout 29 counties.
Eligibility: Anyone can sign up for food assistance in San Antonio. We do not go by income.You may register for food assistance every 2 weeks

SILVER SAGE COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER
To provide Meals on Wheels in Bandera County, daily (Monday-Friday) congregate lunch, food bank distribution, food pantry, service coordination for referrals to community partners, veteran service coordination, and benefit enrollment center.Meals on Wheels provided for those homebound 60+ years of age. All others are served based on assessment and as needed basis.

SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY NOTRE DAME KERRVILLE
To provide food assistance twice per month based on family size. Upon presentation of a bill, we can provide financial assistance to a household once each calendar quarter for utilities, insurance, repairs and other needs – subject to limits established by the local Conference. We can provide gasoline vouchers once each month with proof of medical appointments or other critical appointments in San Antonio. Clothing may be provided once each month through vouchers issued for our thrift store. Prescription co-pays can be provided through a voucher system. Assistance can also be provided for obtaining government documents, such as driver’s license or ID Cards. No assistance given for rent or mortgage payments.
Eligibility: Qualifications are established by San Antonio Food Bank through U.S. Department of Agriculture. The qualifications include existing assistance from specific government programs, limits to household income and temporary emergencies.
