APRIL 13, 1958 THE SUNDAY COURIER AND PRESS- -EVANSVILLE, INDIANA PAGE NINE- Ceremony To Unite Pair Today Miss Dorothy Mae Appman and Daniel R. Dierlam will be united in marriage this afternoon at 2 o'clock in the First Presbyterian Church in Cynthiana, Ind. The Rev. Armand Hosto will officiate at the double ring ceremony and T. C.

Westfall will give the prayer. The altar will be decorated with palms, two candlelabra and baskets of gladioli and carnations. Lighted tapers will be used in the windows. Parents of the couple are Mr. land Mrs.

Arthur Appman, 2112 Daniel Dierlam, RR 13, EvansMaryland and Mr. land Mrs. ville. Ballerina Length Gown Miss Appman has chosen for marriage a ballerina length gown of imported French lace and nylon tulle, The off shoulder yoke is scalloped and has illusion fill in. It is topped with a lace mandarin collar and the long sleeves end in points over her wrists.

Self covered buttons fasten the back of the gown. The voluminous tulle skirt is designed with an inset of lace and is worn over a skirt of tulle ruffles. Her fingertip length veil will be worn with a half pill box hat of French lace edged with brading and scattered with simulated seed pearls. The bride's only jewelry will be a pair of pearl earrings, gift of the bridegroom. She will carry a white Bible topped with a white orchid.

Sister In Wedding Mrs. Rosalie Yeager, sister of the bride-elect, serve as matron of honor. Miss Sharon Schmidt, niece of the prospective bridegroom, will serve as bridesmaid. Barbara Christian will be the flowergirl and Brent Dierlam, nephew of the bridegroom-elect, will serve as ring bearer. Mr.

Dierlam will have his brother, Alvin, as his best man. Edward Dierlam, another brother, and Eugene Martin, cousin of the bride-elect, will be the ushers. Mrs. Lela Giles of Cynthiana, organist, and Ray Winkler, Mt. Carmel, will sing "The Lord's Because, and "I Love You Truly." The reception will be given in the church basem*nt immediately following the ceremony.

The bride's table will be covered with a lace cloth over pink taffeta. A five tiered wedding cake topped with a miniature bridal couple will center the table. Meigs, distinguished gynecologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, will narrate the film, and Two Women." which has been prepared by the American Cancer Society and will be shown for the first times locally on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, as part of cancer education month. The film showings for women only, given by the Vanderburgh County Unit, present new hope for the control of uterine cancer. Dr. Meigs speaks of the necessity for early diagnosis and illustrates this with the case history of two women 1g- nored her warning signals; and of her annual check up. one whose early cervical cancer was detected during the course du Cancer of the uterus is the second most common cancer in women, and no where is the tragic consequences of neglect more evident.

Medical authorities state that 16.000 women could be saved annualy if they would have early and proper examinations by their doctors.
